When it comes to backyard get-together festivities, people tend to think of burgers, hot dogs, and chicken skewers. (Not that we’re against any of those things!)

But, we like to get a little…cheesier.

And that’s where this homemade queso cheddar dip recipe comes into play. Picture the look of pure joy when people wander over to the buffet table and gently lift the lid of a slow cooker to see a mass of this cheesy dip filled with onions, fire-roasted tomatoes, green chilies, and south-of-the-border spices.

I mean, they might start wailing and shedding tears of pure joy all over the red and white checkered tablecloth! Children will be tugging at their parents’ hands to lead them back to the table over and over again. Neighbors will hear the ruckus and wander over to investigate what’s going on. Soaring orchestral music will fill the air, and the birds will start singing with wild abandon!

Now, that’s a cheese dip, Friends.

That’s a cheese dip.

And don’t forget to make a bowl of diced cherry tomatoes and jalapenos for a little garnish next to the big platter of chips. Because the world's most delicious things like to get gussied up, too.

So, grab that F.N. Sharp Damascus Steel Utility Knife, get that large cutting board ready, and get to chopping so taste buds can get to dancing with this delicious queso cheddar dip!
